Why You Can Write Everything Except Your Dissertation

Break The Proposal Trap Workshop: https://qualscholars.kit.com/a846c7f948 You’re working on your dissertation every day. So why is your literature review still unfinished? I believe you when you say you’re putting in the hours. I know what it looks like to read articles before work, take notes at lunch, rearrange your outline, and still have three files named “Literature Review FINAL.” You’re doing real work. But if your draft never makes it to someone who can give you feedback, you can spend a whole semester working without finishing a chapter. In this episode, I’ll show you where that cycle gets stuck. We’ll talk about why you keep questioning your writing before you’ve finished it, what to do if your chair won’t review an early draft, and how to move through the cycle of write, edit, submit, get feedback, and revise.
