This is actually the perfect time to start a YouTube channel - honestly, it’s probably easier to start and grow a YouTube channel now than it was when I originally started. Back then, people and businesses didn’t look at YouTube as a way to earn an income or market a product - that has dramatically changed now and it’s probably the best time to hop on the YouTube bandwagon.
