A Public Health Emergency has been in place in the US since January of 2020, and it will continue to be in effect until at Least July. But there is concern among public health officials that after that, the declaration could end prematurely, even as the pandemic continues. We asked Dr. Richard Besser, the President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation's largest public health philanthropy.
