Wi-Fi Chipset Hole, Scraping Meta, Google Archive, & BanTok

TikTok is hoping to avoid a ban in the U.S. without selling themselves and has taken their plight to the U.S. Court of Appeals. Additionally, TikTok has recently implemented search ads onto its platform, allowing advertisers to target users based on what they are searching on TikTok, and many younger people are using TikTok as a search engine. Speaking of search engines, Google Search now integrates The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine into its search results, allowing users to see past versions of web pages. Unfortunately for Google, they are still embroiled in their anti-trust lawsuit, although the CEO of YouTube, a company they also own, has testified on their behalf. Maker of Wi-Fi chipsets, MediaTek, recently released a patch for a critical vulnerability; make sure all your wireless devices are updated with their latest security patches.
