Darker and more complex to bring to the big screen, Set in the Land of Oz before and during the events of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," the film explores the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good, with more tie-ins to "The Wizard of Oz."
