👃 Kann man fruchtbaren, lebendigen Boden riechen?🌱 Ja, das kann man – genauso wie man kranken Boden riechen kann.Verantwortlich für den Geruch von fruchtbarem Boden sind Mikroorganismen. Sie scheiden beim Arbeiten den Stoff „Geosmin“ aus, und der sorgt dafür, dass es erdig, wie im Wald riecht. Wenn der Boden zu wenig Sauerstoff bekommen, dann vermehren sich hingegen anderen Bodenlebewesen und es fängt an zu faulen. Fäulnis wiederum sorgt für ein sehr schlechtes Umfeld, das Bodenleben ist krank.
