Long-term care planning is not a topic most of us have had nor do we necessarily want to but it is imperative, especially as we have so many baby boomers hitting the age that is most impacted. Our conversation with Barbara DeBerry is not only timely but will provide you with a roadmap to get the conversation started. She shares her own personal experience when her dad and “go-to” person became ill and how suddenly she had to be the decision-maker for his next phase of life. This experience has led Barbara to become an expert and crusader to make long-term care as painless as possible while starting with a conversation early on in life.  She provides real concrete steps to take, those who can assist in the support, while being as compassionate and realistic as possible toward those we care for.
