Wild Turkey Slumps, Yacht Rock, Sex Toys, & Review of 123.3 Proof Ben Holladay Rickhouse Proof Bourbon Whiskey

This episode’s got a little bit of everything for the whiskey freaks. I shamelessly plug my new book on Amazon, Whiskey Wisdom & Bourbon B.S.: Barrel Strength Legends, Lies, and Untold Tales (because if I don’t tell you to buy it, who will?), right here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLNGXJL3 Then we dive into Wild Turkey’s recent sales slump and what it says about the bigger bourbon market. Spoiler alert: it ain’t pretty. I also take a look at the big dogs like Brown-Forman and MGP, talk stock prices without putting you to sleep, and explain why your wallet’s getting lighter while your bottles are literally getting smaller. From there, we take a hard left into music trivia, digging into the bizarre origins of band names from Steely Dan to AC/DC, and match them up with some equally ridiculous bourbon names. Finally, I crack open a bottle of Ben Holladay Rickhouse Proof Missouri Straight Bourbon Whiskey — a 6-year-old wheated bruiser coming in at 123.3 proof. Is it worth the hype?
