Wildcats Return Core, Secondary Rebuilt | Arizona Wildcats Football News

Arizona Wildcats are firing on all cylinders with 18 key starters returning from last year’s nine-win squad, including QB Noah Fifita and RB Ismail Mahdi. Coach Brent Brennan praises the team’s cohesion and player satisfaction. But the secondary is a major rebuild—three players drafted, one signed elsewhere—so they’ve brought in two transfer corners, Dwight Bootle II and Malcolm Hartzog Jr., former teammates who bring grit and experience. Defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales is bullish, calling this year’s secondary potentially better, especially in man coverage, with Hartzog—despite a season-ending surgery—expected to be a standout. The Wildcats open their season Sept. 5 against Northern Arizona. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
