Wildfires burning across the Carolinas | What we know

Several factors, including strong winds and drought conditions, are contributing to the spread of fires, including the ongoing Carolina Forest fire in South Carolina.  Across that state, a burn ban is in effect and the governor has issued a state of emergency.In North Carolina, firefighters are battling wildfires including one near Tryon and another in Uwharrie National Forest.
