Wildred Owen was a "war poet" from the Great War (World War l) who was born in 1893 and was killed on November 4, 1918, just one week before the war ended. His work doesn't romanticize war at all. Even though he uses poetic, often beautiful terms, you often feel sick to your stomach after reading his work.
