Will Holt sings "Lemon Tree" lyrics by HOLT (he also wrote THE MTA SONG)

Will Holt recorded several solo albums, as well as "On the Brink" with his wife Dolly Jonah. They were a great comedy team that worked at the same time as colleagues Stiller & Meara and Nichols & May. (Check Ronald L. Smith's "Comedy On Record" or "Goldmine Comedy Price Guide" for more). Will adapted a political tune into "The MTA Song," and recorded it before the Kingston Trio did. He adapted "Lemon Tree" with new lyrics, and it became a hit for Trini Lopez. Will wrote the lyrics for the vaudevillian tune "One of Those Songs" which Durante and others sang ("It's just one of those songs that you hear now and then...") He wrote musicals, too including "The Me Nobody Knows."
