哈囉大家好，歡迎回到《Will It Translate?》！我是你們的主持人。今天我們特別邀請到外師 Campbell，來跟大家分享她來台灣之後，最讓她感到文化衝擊的兩件事。 第一件是廁所。在台灣，我們習慣自己帶衛生紙，而且也常會遇到蹲式馬桶。Campbell 說，她第一次在高速公路休息站碰到這種情況時，因為沒有心理準備，真的有點嚇到，讓她印象超深刻！ 第二件則是關於倒垃圾。在她的家鄉，大家習慣把垃圾丟在定點的垃圾子車。但在台灣，要等垃圾車來，還會播放音樂，像是一個行動的嘉年華。雖然有時候沒辦法準時趕到，讓她有點困擾，但她也分享了一件溫暖的事：有一次她錯過時間，焦慮地站在路邊，結果一位好心的鄰居不僅幫她把垃圾丟了，還給了她一顆柚子！這讓她覺得台灣的人情味真的超棒。 聊完這些有趣的文化差異，Campbell 也分享了她對台灣的期待。她說，這些經歷教會她保持一顆開放的心，去擁抱所有的新事物。她很期待能繼續用這種幽默和正面的心態，去探索台灣的每個角落。 Hey everyone, and welcome back to Will It Translate! Today, we've got Campbell on the show to share two of the biggest culture shocks since she arrived in Taiwan. First, the bathrooms. She was completely surprised by the squat toilets and having to bring her own toilet paper—especially the first time at a highway rest stop! Second, taking out the trash. Unlike at home, the garbage truck here plays music, and you have to go to it. It can be frustrating when she misses it, but a kind neighbor once helped her throw it away and even gave her a pomelo!
