Will Judge Return?

Will Aaron Judge actually return this season? He says he will—but what do the medical facts tell us? This week on Injury Territory, Will Carroll and Edward Egros break down the latest on Aaron Judge and his recovery. Judge remains optimistic about playing again this year, but optimism and biology aren’t always the same thing. We examine everything we know about his injury, healing timeline, rehabilitation progress, and what the science says about his chances of returning in time to make an impact for the New York Yankees. We also discuss another setback for Hunter Greene, who is headed to see renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache as concerns about his elbow continue to grow. What does that consultation mean? Is surgery on the table, or is there still reason for optimism? Plus, injury updates from around Major League Baseball, including top prospect Trey Yesavage, who may have seen his season come to an early end, and Blake Snell, whose long-awaited return appears to be just around the corner. And yes… Will somehow forgets to mention Joe Ryan, so you’ll have to wait another week for the inevitable glute jokes. If you’re looking for Aaron Judge injury updates, Hunter Greene elbow news, Blake Snell return timeline, Trey Yesavage injury analysis, Yankees news, baseball sports medicine, MLB injury reports, pitching health, biomechanics, and expert baseball injury analysis, Injury Territory delivers the context behind the headlines every week.
