Will Peace Come to the Middle East?

Dr. Richard Schmidt is Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. Israel has just concluded its Memorial Day, a day of mourning fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. Then with a special ceremony they began their Independence Day, a day of rejoicing over becoming a nation in 1948. Israel now celebrates 78 years as a nation. All the while enemies still have the goal of wiping Israel off the face of the earth. Tension remains high as the official deadline for the ceasefire with Iran approaches conclusion. A delegation from the United States has had their trip postponed as Pakistan has made known their uncertainty to attend. President Trump was asked whether or not he would resume bombing, to which he replied, "Well, I expect to be bombing, because I think that's a better attitude to go in with." On another front, a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will soon conclude. Israel has accused Hezbollah of a "blatant" ceasefire violation. Meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked.
