from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table
The Philadelphia Phillies season has been a tremendous disappointment to say the least. The bats are cold. The pitching is inconsistent. The bullpen is having issues and injuries. Divisionally, they’re ranked towards the bottom of the NL East. This week, Eric Moratelli from ThatBallsOuttaHere.com over at Fansided joined the pod for a discussion on how this team can get out of this monumental funk. But first, the guys were gleeful talking about the Flyers and their complete dominance of the Penguins in the first-round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. (Approx. 5:00)From there, they dove into the current Sixers vs. Celtics matchup in the NBA Playoffs. Do we really think the Sixers can pull this off? (Approx. 13:40)The Union are looking absolutely terrible this season as they are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference here in April. (Approx. 22:00)Then the guys discussed how difficult it has been to watch this “lack of life” Phillies team over the past couple of weeks. (Approx. 29:35)What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion about the Phillies start to the season and how this team might be able to rebound from their weak start tot the season. The lack of power from the bats, the terrible run differential, the starting pitching and also the bullpen have been utter disappointments. All of this and much more this week on the Table!
