Will they or won't they? Reserve Bank board facing tough rates call on Melbourne Cup Day

It's shaping up as another line ball decision when the Reserve Bank board meets tomorrow - on Melbourne Cup Day - to consider what might be the 13th interest rate rise since May last year. It's also a test for the new Reserve Bank governor Michele Bullock who's pledged to do whatever it takes to pull down inflation especially if it looks like running away.
