This is the place where sports, a lot of dentists, sports, every host can be joined me on the show. We have FIFO, Nick Shelton and Spike. What up? What's happening?
Like you will be going this momentarily. So he'll be hopping on in a little bit, which is good cause I don't know, I didn't see it on the docket for today, but I do have a very important question. I need to ask him, but let's not waste anyone's time. Let's go ahead and get into Nick, what they have been asking for.
I saw it on the subreddit. They were like, man, another week. I think it was a bird man posted it, another week in no Colorado talk. So I was thrilled to see that you had this as our lead story today.
Cause I, it's unfortunate I can, you know, I can do it last week cause I was a hiking. So this boy's got stuff got me all over the place on the weekend, it's crazy. I think you bullshitting can't be like, can't hike it, he just shot a boy. That's what it is.
That's what it is. I think you hiking this the boy's over here. Yeah, I got him hiking this man. Yeah.
Nah, I didn't even put it on my IG story. Anyway, yeah man. So, but nevertheless, we are here talking about the buffaloes. It is our lead story along with the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Georgia Bulldogs and Colorado Buffalo's both secure home with recent must-win matchups last Saturday with Georgia defeating Tennessee 31-17 and Colorado beating Utah 49-24, which is Utah's I think fifth or sixth lost in a row. Which team do you guys had the more impressive win? And then I'll follow with the Colorado question. That was pretty easy.
It has to be Georgia, Colorado had every, I mean, they had no reason to lose the Utah. Without Utah having him rising their quarterback with him going down earlier in the year. They just really don't have, they don't really have that much firepower. But Georgia played a Tennessee team that was game.
You played it without your top running backs. You had to play a game that you had to win the state in this conversation in the SEC and the playoffs. So Georgia had to have this game. Their season was riding on it and everybody banked on Georgia being right back there in the national championship as always.
So, they had to have that win. So that went on, even though it was a home win against Tennessee, it was still a big win. And I give Georgia a lot of props for winning that game. Cause I really, just like y'all and everybody else, I don't believe in back anymore.
So, this was a Muslim game. That's right. Obviously, I think this is Colorado, especially with how they played last season and where they are today is with us considering them to be a playoff team. I mean, Georgia has lost two games already.
They were fighting for their life to win this game and to still be considered for a playoff. So, at this point in time, I think it is what it is with Georgia, but I think Colorado is the more impressive win because they've been able to be consistent and put themselves in a position to be a playoff team. As to where we expected Georgia to be one of the teams that got to buy in the playoffs. They ain't lost this many regular season games in five years down here.
So, they're just getting back to what we expected them to be as to where Colorado, I think is super-seeding what we thought they would be in Deon's second year and to be considered for the seed. The college football playoff is a big deal for them. So, I think it was a much bigger win. Regardless if Utah had players out, regardless if they had to make one of their back yard, I get it, they would still rank at the end of the season and Colorado was supposed to do what they were supposed to do to continue to travel on the trajectory that they were to be in the playoff.
So, my shout outs is Colorado and they win. Who was you talking about Utah was ranked at the beginning of the season? Yeah, they had to go back to being there for 10 years. Right.
They weren't ranked this weekend, right? No. I still had to go out and put a business in. They had to stay in the game.
They had to go out there and do what they were supposed to do. Lou was like as long as there was 11-bit on the field. That was awesome. Utah put the team out there.
I'll just get into relevant facts though, right? Those are the facts. What's the matter? The fact that they was ranked earlier, that doesn't help your case.
Yeah. Because Ken just said that none of the- Colorado lost that game before, y'all know. All of it, Colorado lost, name is supposed to win. Right, yeah, they should not have lost the team.
That's on the losers. Yeah. You're right. You're right.
That's the thing. That's the reason why I can't do the thing that they're supposed to do. No, because that would be good. Let me ask you this.
Let me ask you this, right? Who is struggling between Colorado and Georgia? What team is struggling? Georgia.
Okay. Who is the right opponent? Go ahead. I'm going to say the same road you are.
We both are 85. So which opponent was tougher? Is Utah or Tennessee tougher? Tennessee is tougher than Utah.
So a tougher opponent and that team was struggling, but the more impressive win was the better team playing against the lesser opponent. I'm struggling with all of the best players on the planet. I've had the best recruiting class for the last three years. I ain't even supposed to be in this position, but now y'all are giving me praise because I was struggling going into Tennessee and I beat them when I was supposed to beat them.
If you had picked this game at the beginning of the year. So Colorado wasn't supposed to beat Utah? No. If you let me finish first, if you had picked this game at the beginning of the year, when everybody- So this is not going to get in here.
The running facts, right? Right. That's not in the relevant fact. I think Colorado still has to go out and do the thing that they needed to do.
You giving Georgia praise for whooping Tennessee asked what we knew that was going to happen at the beginning of the year as well. We didn't know it was going to happen last week, but last week we didn't know that was going going to happen. No, we before that, we didn't know it was going to happen the way you would have put no money on Tennessee, Georgia. That's a good bet.
Going into that game, Lou, I wouldn't be surprised if anybody- If anybody- I put in the dance sports chat on Friday who wants to bet me to Tennessee, be Georgia? None of y'all would have took it. Thank you. That's why I was like, no, I don't care if y'all- No, I don't care if y'all didn't get to the same.
Well, I'll shit. Well, fuck Georgia, period. You know what I'm saying? Not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not to say it's not my fault.
How Manny? That's all they rule and they was a little rule of shit else. I think it is with Colorado, I'll finish my point with Georgia, with Georgia they had their back against the wall against the other team on this back against the wall. So they had the more impressive victory, especially it was a dominant victory too.
It wasn't just like by a touchdown or anything. They proved they were the better team. I just also find it real fucked up. But I think the committee's going to change the rules in the next couple of years that Georgia might have won this game, but it still may not have been shit down the line because if they lose in the SEC Championship game, if they get there, they're out.
And that rule makes no sense to me. No. They talked about that on something true. Well, it's just basically like making it to the SEC Championship game and losing counts the same as if he lose in the regular season.
Right. So it's like, how are you grading a championship game like you are a game going against Kentucky? You know what I'm saying? That should be counting.
You should get a buy. Those two teams should get like should be in regardless. You know what I'm saying? Because as you can see, the playoff games is what matters, not the conference games.
That was back in the old playoff system. You know what I'm saying? And the new one, since you have more teams, you would think you would get more leeway. But that's just like that point.
Well, Colorado, I'm impressed with them because they got past the number that I expected them to get. So any win that they get on top of this is just icing on the cake. Now them going into the playoffs, that's more interesting. If Deion can do that in the second year, that's very impressive.
But my coming into the year, I just want to look at Shador's growth and see as far as his quarterback pause. And I was looking at just how many games that can Deion get more than he did the first season. And he's done both of them have done both of that. My question, I know you had a question about Colorado.
I have one too. And this may be very different from yours. But I wanted to ask Fifo, and then I don't know why it's a lot of college football, but you were really into the Deion conversation. Do you think him leaving, do you think Deion and Shador leaving Jackson State and doing what they did in Colorado?
Do you think that Shador would be looked at as a top QB prospect if he would have stayed at Jackson State? You want me to move? You want me to move? Hell no.
And I said that back when that question in the midst of everything happened, and my answer is to say, like, nah, Shador wouldn't, Shador would be considered an NFL player, but he would be third, fourth, fifth round, if he would have stayed at Jackson State. Even if he would have balled out, Travis Hunter would probably be the only one to make it in the first round, because he was undeniable. They would have questioned him in terms of the talent that he was playing against. He may not have been the number one overall pick, but he would have been the first round if he would have stayed at Jackson State.
But everybody else, hell no. I think that's the main reason why Deion did what he did. You know what I'm saying? And I think it was the right move.
At the end of the day, I don't think Shador was heralded coming out of high school that high, right? Deion did everything in his power to ensure that I put you on the state, because I believe in you. I'm gonna put you on the stage to make sure that everybody sees you in the same light. I do, you know what I'm saying?
So it was definitely the right move. And if I was Deion, I would do it 10 out of 10 times. The second question to this open to you guys saying Colorado will make the playoffs. Now let me give you real quick on ESPN.
They have the projections right now, the week 13, 12 team, college football, bracket projections, BYU 12 Ohio State, a field so they would play Alabama, 9 and 8, you have Alabama in Notre Dame, 11, 6, you have Georgia at 11, Penn State, 6, Ole Miss, Indiana, Ole Miss 10, Indiana, 7, and then of course rounding out, you have Boise State, 4, Oregon, 1, Miami 3, and Texas is second. Does Colorado sneak into the Colorado, I mean, into the playoffs? They just got to be BYU, right? Yeah, I was gonna say, I think so.
I think they will take me by you out. I think the defensive line, more than anything the defense is fired up and is looking really, really good. They're underestimated in a lot of these cases, but they are really showing the deck of football. The offense has never been a worry.
A Shadoor, even though Travis is his favorite receiver, he does spread the ball around. They are trying to run the ball a little bit more with the gusty than they have ever, but more than anything, a defensive line stepped up big time this year. And that's the difference. And I think, excuse me, I think they'll be BYU team that when they see them.
So I don't think they feel BYU at all. Yeah, they should win out. I'll be surprised. At this point, expectations have, expectations lead us to this conversation.
So expectations have risen. So at this point, I'm kind of expecting them to get in, because if they just continue to win out, I think they should beat by BYU. That should lock them in. I don't see Boise State staying at 12.
I think they just went off the back of the running back. I don't really care about that team outside of him. But. A boy's your state of sport.
They don't lose. They be BYU as well. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Yeah, boy, I think BYU is going to be the one that gets out.
What was you saying, Luke? I thought you were talking about Boise State. I was going to say, boys, you say, all they got to do is win. And they still get a buy, because you have to win your conference.
And my biggest gripe is Notre Dame. I hate how they could just get in, just with the schedule, with the teams that they played. And they ain't got to go to no conference games. They ain't got to know that shit.
They could just get in and watch everybody else. It's like, that's bullshit. They said they said they said they said they'd be getting it that they said it up. So Notre Dame would be in their prom, mostly like Notre Dame would have a terrible year not to be in the playoffs.
They army and Navy, like every single one of them. We got back here and coach Nick. Yeah. Who would you replace them with, though, Nick?
Anyone? Tennessee. Not at the conclusion. That lost kill them.
Yeah, but do Colorado and BYU play against each other? I don't think they were. That's a conference championship. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Yeah, that's a championship game. Yeah, be right. No, that's it. That's the conference championship.
It's both of them, it's 61. They're going to play in the conference championship. So that would be like a pseudo playoff game. I would have sold.
Yeah, whoever wins, I got a rattle. That's so, so if Colorado takes another loss, they're still going to the championship game. And that's the one at the times that they get it. As long as it's not a conference game, I don't know how long they have left.
I don't know what they're taking another loss, because Arizona State is still 5 and 2, Colorado is 61, BYU is 61. So they still happen winning their remaining games to play BYU in the championship. Yeah, he was making a thing. They was already a lock in there.
I'm like, yeah, they still got to win out the regular season. Oh, who? Colorado? I'm OK, though, right?
Yeah, they got to play Kansas. I'll take the game. Is that a division game? Is that a conference game?
Yeah, Kansas and Oklahoma State is who they play next? Yeah, they're good. They're good. They should be good.
They should be good. Kansas. They're good, Shelton. Orange State.
They're good, Shelton. We did this. Three and seven. Yeah, we were able to do this early when we were able to do the recals.
We looked at the schedule. They were at the time when there were some rankings and we looked at it. We were like, if these guys are the guys, they should win these games. And they have.
And BYU still got to be Arizona State, which is the third team. They play Arizona State next week. So that's a big game. If Arizona State beats BYU, they'll caught a lot of them will play them for the conference title.
And be one game up on them. Yeah. So I don't know. I like the chances of getting in.
I noticed something that we've been talking about in the chat for a minute. When we were looking at the schedule, it seemed like the odds were against them, but they needed to get some lucky breaks and it happened. I think they took care of business. And I think they've been very fortunate this year that opponents in their conferences down, hurt injuries here, injuries there.
And they managed to take advantage of that. I'm just saying, Spike, I'm seeing the team. I'm watching it. Are you giving Deon any praise?
Because you didn't think of the season. No, you didn't. That was a backhand accomplishment. That was all the opponents are down.
I want to know next up, what you thought that he would do especially winning three games last year, I think in Luton, primary, the rest of his games, he got a team in contention to be on the biggest days and come to the ball. He probably seen that was 112 out of 112 teams before he got there as far as relevancy. Do you, has he done a job to you? I said, at the beginning of the season, I see them win in seven games.
I said that. So yeah, he's overcome what I expected him to do. I've never wavered from that. So I came in this season, expecting him to win more games than he did last year.
So has he done a good job? Yes or no? Has he done a good job? I mean, he's done a job.
Yeah, I don't know what he got. Yeah, he's the easy man of the job. He's doing what he's our coaches, not supposed to win games. But he got a team in three years time.
He took a team that was the worst in Division I football and he has them ready for the playoffs. Come on, has to be said today. I think, you know, I see Spike. I hate you even went here.
Cause I was, I'm trying to be, I'm trying to get my pro blackness fully back. And I was, I came in, I was like, I'm not hating on Jayla Hurts anymore. I'm going to be a room for all the people. But see, now I got to say that, Dion is just fortunate that a lot of teams fell off and he was able to backdoor his way into the playoffs.
That's exactly what's happening. He is a believer in God and God is looking out for him. And look at you talk, they lost five games. Their guy got hurt.
He had the Hail Mary play against whatever team that was ECF or whatever. And every other team that he's played, they have fallen off. And all these other teams, the, the, after you get past what the seventh or 18 and the ranked team is everybody else is average. Come on, man.
The untold, y'all, he was going to do what he's doing. And he's standing nine doors down on that right now. Which is why, which is why I'm not as far as Ken, but I'm with him and sensitive like Dion said his own standard. So if you want, and I'm surprised that you lose, because you miss the, you miss the day got everybody would come to handle your business, do your fucking job.
That's what you get paid to big bucks to do. You be on that back all the time. That he do slash don't do it. Cause you always bring up, you get paid 60 mil, whatever.
You'd, I expect that out of you. When you, not only do we know the audience paid handsomely for this position, but he came out talking cash shit, cash shit, what he was saying, he talking shit. He back up. He back up.
He back up. Yes. Yes. You know, we just like, but how many coaches go into a new situation and in that first year, like really have.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're gonna be backing up. We'll be back in the last year. Back in the right now.
First off, first off, first off, first off, first off. Wait, wait, wait, is he, is he talking as much shit this year as he did last year? No, no, no, no, no. Go back to what Nick said.
His opening was, D.I. said the standard for himself. He did this. Talking all that shit.
What was his open and press conference? We all remember, do you believe now, whatever it was, right? He was too gay. He was a T.C.
He was like, he was pretty gay. He went crazy and lost. And he sent us out. To tweet open doors points, there were other coaches who took jobs at better institutions who we thought was gonna do better.
Look at Brian Kelly right now. They six and four at LSU. You know, he's a freaking room. And then one of the players.
He didn't get hired at LSU, because he was stressed. He got hired at LSU because they thought that he was going to elevate him to the places or that school to the places That Deon is taking Colorado to right now. Yeah, he wrote a big check, but he's cashed him Like no one would ever thought three years ago that Colorado bro Anything I My thing is this y'all Y'all have been inconsistent the way y'all talk about the other football coach Because because in that first year like everybody He hyped it's Deon. He comes to a program that's been shitball and he hyped it up to say like we hear now And I think somebody to comment say like he was saying last season get your W's in now because you're gonna do this later Now because you're not gonna give me later But my thing is this you can't everybody was talking cash shit along with him when they beat tc They were three and only and then when it was wanted to that Oregon game Or can spank that and I was I was in Atlanta Or a mistake that everybody left.
We were assisted and everybody got quiet. I heard guys say nothing about Colorado football Let's not do her vision is history words like looking where he took the program like it was a mustard seed type He transformed that whole program from the coaching staff to the players. This is a whole new No, but I said it wasn't it wasn't a humble experience. He got humbled in the experience Right Because This was one of the white boys in SEC y'all to be praising him if this was And it's wish for one year No, we would because they're at the door of the college football playoff You don't care about it.
You're talking about Y'all are talking about last year. He was talking all this shit at 3-0 and then he fell off However, this year right back the next season He's knocking at the door of the college football playoff and everything he said when he was like y'all gonna have to see me next year All these losses in this laughing this shit that y'all was doing I'm gonna make out paper with next year and he I can say is he's lucky that he faced low-level competition to stack all these The pitch right and showed and that's not his fault. Just play. We put it in front of you man Oh my god I was saying the reason why the last thing I say is the reason why I'm saying y'all are inconsistent with how y'all talking about deharn His and how he did to the program.
Yeah, you know who the Indiana head coaches We're not talking about him. We should have been talking about him until he did what he did this year Which is why we bring it up. So kudos to the dion, but he said the stage. Yeah, yeah Oh god is on his side Uh, let's move on to some more important things Hold on real quick breaking news the cash loss to the boss of seltics breaking their 15 and all When she could start the season.
So I was watching Donnie best did all you could cocoa and he go home and get rubbed out about cocoa. He went away 15 oh 15 oh 15 and oh, right? Yeah, one foot or two cares It's Cleveland. It's the trust.
So y'all don't believe in the cast. Oh, no. Do you believe in the question? Yes I think it's a mirage.
I think they're I think they're a solid team, but it's all about the playoffs Right and and I talked about this with my brother boston is a bad match up in them Because they're two best players are undersized at their position and boston's best players are either right at the average size or bigger pause Um, and they could just overcome them and kris naps ain't even played like like that's a whole nother cheat code on the court with them So that I don't think Cleveland can I think they can make it to the conference, but they can't get past boston. They're not good enough The eagles handle business at home in the divisional match up against the washington commanders when in 26 to 18 It's fairly a top four team in the NFL And after that performance is jadon daniel's still leading the race for rookie of the year So what do y'all think? Philly tough 14 in the NFL right now? Yes and yes You know, yeah, look all people I've been saying it for a minute on paper Are they not one of the best rosters in the NFL and if they play 75 to 85 percent of what their talent on paper says that they should They should be a top 14 and we've seen that the last couple of weeks You know what I'm saying?
And still is the bill's I was just asking people to know who they're gonna Do you think if Philly if Philly had to play vaults or Pittsburgh They both They can beat them. They can beat them. No, they can anybody I'm saying Would you bet money that fillies when in both of it? It depends on how that game looks the week before but I could put money on Philly Look, you're not you're not gonna box me into saying oh, I'm not on the show to bandwagon Right, like they still have questions I'm so Straight are you on the bandwagon of saying they're like you're saying that a 14.
I'm not stealing the Ravens the Chiefs and the bills and the Lines they're better than the bills not better than the lines I think lines are number one, but if you but I think they're in the conversation of a top 14 There's they're playing so what their talent says and also I think the biggest thing is next to Rihanna is he stopped meddling with what Kelly Moore So so he has nothing to do with a play call play designer and no more and we're starting to see that offense starting to gel a little bit better Say come on to the play out of his mouth. I thought so A stat like two weeks ago where it says that he won more player of the weeks with Philly in his first season than eight years with the Giants You know what I'm saying? So to me They are playing like a top four top five team and I think as long as they stay consistent you could book it man This team is super talented and I think they're better than the bill To answer your question. It's a it's absolutely they are top 14 and that's not coming from who's your top four?
You could put you definitely gonna put the bills in there you put Philly and you put You have to put Detroit of course and the fourth is casey you have to put Kansas City in there I feel the patch was able to better than the silver Absolutely and there's there's one reason why you have to say that and that one reason is not even say guanis the defense You got a number one defense in the league right now and you can't you can't sneeze at that what they've been doing on defense It's incredible and remarkable to turn around that fangeo has this team on they're the number one defense in the NFL You cannot shake a stick at that and it doesn't matter who they're playing against they've stepped up to the challenge every time plus you have Offense that controls the football so and you got a full quarter running back that wears a defense down So you got the tools necessary to be anybody and we talked about like some of the players that they played against when they they've had big challenges They stepped up in the compost those things they do let down sometimes like they didn't talk his game But the bucks game they didn't have all their pieces, but that's not the here know that they should have won that game either way But they show up when did they become the number one defense This past week this week. Yeah, so The bucks kicked all ass 30 16 Yeah, and since then when they became an m1 defense they played the Browns the Giants The Bengals the Jaguars and the Cowboys so they play one formidable 10 and then you come in with Washington as well So Washington Bengals with the rookie quarterback No, but they the Browns may as well be a college team and they beat them 16 to 20 it wasn't even a blowout The Giants laughable the Jaguars even the Cowboys who had a back a quarterback And the commanders we all barely beat like the score don't even dictate No team is no team is really impressive to me this year besides the Lions So I don't really think like I'm not about to get open arms about oh, they're not tough. All right. They're not tough I don't really give a fuck.
I think that the Eagles offensive struggles are apparent I'm not really sold. I think say going to say when I asked every week I think that's what I see and I think that if you look at the games We're struggling for a quarter. We can't score second quarter the defense is holding other end there like in the bargain Uh, Jaylen makes a questionable thrower here and they're killing more calls to really questionable shit And then around like the end of the second quarter We just somehow keep finding ways to win because second one will break a crazy run and then we start getting a momentum I mean if that's gonna be the game plan and if that's when was that that's what's gonna work every single week then sure I don't think that's a formula necessarily for success is just leaning on sequampargaly every week to like get us going Uh, I would hope that they identify that we're a running first team But even just some of the run plays. I'm just I'm not really in love with the play calling I think the chiefs have a glaring issue on offense.
I think that the bills everyone is just doing some really weird shit with them this week I don't like their hot shit. I don't see that. I think they've won good games I think that the Josh Allen is playing really good But then exactly like the Josh Allen just became MVP this week because he beat the chief the chief should have won the chief should have lost the fucking bronco So this is not really I don't see he's slaying slaying the jit slaying the dragon here with the bills I think that Josh Allen has always put up great performances against patching my home It's just his defense can't hold up there in the bargain. So that's we're not really moving me much either 49ers are fucking dumpster fire Uh, so I mean who like the Texans are falling off I mean Cooper rush if he could have did anything they could have made that a game last night Um the only thing that's consistently shown me and this is coming off a five INT game So nobody really is like a juggernaut this year, dude, but I will say this Um If you'd ask me who can I bet on come play off time?
I'll just bet on veteran cubies and good coaching. So I think that that favors Andy Reed favors my timeline So if you ask me all the eagles top 14, I'll say To be determined. I mean, I really don't see I don't see this great, you know collection of teams they even put this in order It's just everyone could be advantageous the lion's is the only team that have a great offensive scheme that continues to show up for me So I disagree with you. I think the lions and the chief are children are That's the same thing you talked about the the lions do though Look just so you know So so so you said something that um, I knew was was incorrect.
So I had to go get the numbers You said um That billy needs to establish themselves as a run for steam and they already have because they have the worst passing percentage Um versus the um team passing play percentage, which is at 44.7 Which is their last so that means that they run more than 50 percent of the time Um, that's what I said. That's what I mean. A quarterback sucks I thought that's what I said is that we like we are one of one first team No, you said that With you yeah, no what I heard was is that they need to establish themselves as a run first team Oh, well, I heard you say okay. Well, sure.
All right. I mean they gotta run it back a quarterback. So that's one first I think the way that they kind of brand the team is very still jalen centric And I think it's time to like give it to sequan There's like the premier like offensive weapon because the way that I understand the what like the numbers say But the way that in terms of interviews in terms of coverage in terms of how the team reports on it We give it to jalen like oh jalen leads the team and sequan is featuring as a premier in that You know, I mean where it's like no, it should be sequan centric in name everything We should establish that and we need to make jalen the deck press got to this, uh, you know Zico Elliott situation 2016 type ship and I agree with you Oh, hardly like because that's what fifil brought up and what q was saying is like facts versus reality because as a sequan fantasy owner They'll show you know first team show you don't have for sure technically they run but you run with fifil when you said that Shit earlier, I didn't even know about that eight weeks You said you were you said over the first eight weeks sequan has been like the player to week Like he's got more than that than eight or nine weeks for like eight years versus eight years with the giants That's insane and it could it could be it could be multiple players in a month If they gave it to fucking sequan when they act the one instead of jayla hers So to me that's like that to me that's a weird that's a weird we are run first team But I know what you think kind of said so so let me pause real quick me Hold on because I got some more numbers here You said that they're not featuring sequan sequan sequan had a hundred in his last game I'm going from most recent to the beginning of the season 146 yards 66 yards 159 108 176 47 84 147 95 109 for almost 1200 yards on the season Like Let me ask you this question I don't want to talk and I got to talk about jayla daniels because it's coming up in the chat too But um that played it. They lost to uh to land about Was that featuring jayla hurts was that featuring sequan That's what i'm saying That's all i got to say about it That's what i was going to say i disagree with what you said on that front because i think it is featuring sequan I think y'all being semantic with with me.
I know what the fuck the yards are saying I'm saying that when it comes to coverage when it comes to how we brand this team when it comes to how nix siryani talks about this team How how jayla hurts talks about the team It's not relying on sequan gets us going sequan is our guy and then we're going to follow behind that It's very much so uh the vontay smith and aj brown and then you know, I mean It's like this mishmash of weapons that we're talking about when it should be no sequan burgley is the engine like the sats should show But it's time to actually name that like we keep making this a jayla The vontay, uh, you know, aj brown and then sparkly flash Yeah, rick what q is talking about is sequan. I mean, um russell wilson versus marshall lynch When everybody knew those early teams marshall lynch was the guy that was doing everything and russell wilson was the beneficiary of that And and uh russell wilson was getting a lot of credit and we saw what happened in the super bowl Um, yeah, so i was similar in turn I was gonna say shilton though too is like the way that they should be it's they're having the same issue that i see the texans have Is like they're not just submitting to their run game when clearly the run game is the best thing they got In the way that it's meant to be done like like again like sequan stats get even more crazier if they give them the ball at the goal Instead of the touch was Part because that part you use the brother show the name of konlochis was you use that because it's the more efficient play and it has the higher stats They'll tell you that the statistics show that that is the higher percentage play than turn around and hand out to right back That's why we saw that we saw that one game that it didn't work They tried it didn't work Fantasy point isn't it that's all it is. Hey, look, but but also to answer what i'm gonna scare I think it's not because you know, i watch a lot of interviews and a lot of stuff like that A lot of this players is doing it that create that narrative. They know sequan is the engine.
Everybody knows that sequan gets his caries He's gonna he's gonna get all he wants. He don't really care about that post up. That's not his name Even the touchdown sequan calls for the Multiple no he's called for it multiple times come on Interviews bro All the way down to the one yard line every time y'all doing his bullshit ass play To push the ball to play that work. No, yes, he got a problem with it.
It's a bullshit that works He can't come out but show he can't come out and say oh, yeah I would rather be the one that runs the touchdown in after I carried the team down the field with 75 to 60 yards every time He can't say that he can't he can say what he wants to and also Lou You also got to look at the fact that he knew this was coming anyway. None of his bonuses will tie up to touchdown He has bonuses tied to everything else. You know exactly what he was getting into when he got into it I don't know. I don't know what he do.
I don't believe him right now if he had 20 touchdowns He wouldn't make more money than he would if he has half a minute Well, if his bonuses weren't tied to he would finish finishing another point shelter Because to a certain degree and then we got to switch to jaded dame's but to a certain degree spike I do believe that it is media talk But he has said that sure I would love to get the touchdowns, but the tush push is working So I'm cool with that and we winning so it goes both ways It's you know, he would love to get the touchdown, but he knew what he was signing up for and you know He's on board for as long as they win a game. They start losing it may be different. Yeah, that's when it may be a problem So what about jaded dame's? I was I was gonna say With jaded dame's the last few games he's faced a lot of playoff caliber teams And it doesn't look as spectacular as early this season This also doesn't help about cliff kingsbury and him being in the second a first half coach Not a second half coach when it comes to the season as offenses kind of fall off So i'm hoping that's not the case this time, but as mentioned in the chat bonyx is balling And you know that we in make america make our qb's great again Era of a quarterback and and bonyx with shampay and denver is a hell of a story to kind of keep it behind his black kid In dc ball and so I feel like I feel like I feel like the commander should they should compete to still win this division I don't think them listens to the eagles means it's wrapped up and silly got it Um because I still see them in at least 10 games, but daniels has to kind of go up and ever since he had that rib injury He's been throwing things differently.
So i'm hoping he is better with that Y'all think of anybody else I think he's just saying you know The more you the longer you're in the league the more teams are gonna be able to see you and figure it out It's his next move. It's like chess. It's his his move down And I think the jay naniels has the tools to get past this point It's a slight slump and it comes with the injury that didn't help anything. Anyway, I still think it's his rookie of the year award to lose I know bonyx is playing much better, but it's still jay naniels.
He's brought this team from a long way He's gonna get them into playoffs and I think he'll be more successful than a bonex down the stretch I think he's gonna turn it around But we can't we can't downplay that injury, you know, ain't no fun getting hurt plus He's been seeing some exotic looks on defense that he ain't used to plus a little bit of pressure So it happens that way uh played a couple games without brian robinson, which is tough Um, he did make it back for this past week with the eagles game But still that did affect him, you know without the power running game But it him being a run and passing quarterback taking his legs away is something that um that injury kind of contributed to and it limited his effectiveness So now you'll see him ease back into being himself I don't think that he'll be shook up for long and it exposes like the lack of talent that uh Washington has on offense outside of scary terry like if he can't run and they double team interior It's like are you guys with zag earth and but no brown? I mean, well, they'll take care of that. Um, obviously then when they go get t-higgins So don't worry about that. But um when it comes to um When it comes to jay naniels, I think that you see Damn, there should have lost three straight games in a row I mean the shakado game is a miracle and then you lose to to I guess you could say that hurts as a veteran now So you lose the franchise qb's playoff teams But I think that you see at least that he's able to beat up on bad teams and he's able to get in shootouts and uh Barely lose against playoff team.
So you got to be encouraged regardless, you know, it looks better than calibb I mean, I'll tell you that Yeah, the dang is just going to be good I think they'll have a second half of the season in comparison with him and bo nix I think bo nix just has a better culture still uh cliff has done some great things for that offense and they help daniels out But he's easy to rookie wall. I think that In denver with nix he has a little bit better coaching to help him surpass that rookie wall shit That's where he it's not going to impact him as much But I do think that daniels can still win 10 games and be a six or seven seed in the NFC playoffs But I think denver also will be a six or seven seed and if you pull the tape Sheldon I've been calling bo nix. I said he was going to be very good this year as far as well He would his performance as a rookie quarterback. I know like what about that.
I said he loved him boy Porta take porta take that's all I gotta say I watched it. I watched it. Raven's Lou. I just watched it played Raven.
So no That touch that was impressive against the Ravens. We That's like no I'm trying to be in the trash So look I was gonna wait I was gonna wait to ask this but I see what the chad said to Marty McFly. I agree with y'all Everybody talking about bo nix right now. How he balled was killing sharp hate and as a good coach And I feel like I was one of the few saying not sharp and is he was the right hire Hold on to y'all was saying that he was trash.
So now he was good. Go. What is he? Oh, I had a reverse.
I had a my coach list. He was on my coaches list before y'all shitting on me I still don't think he's Yeah What's the we talk about we always talk about strength and schedule initiative what teams eat me I Know the playoffs to the playoffs. I will be saying it to a person I'm going to play right now. Who are the person on the Broncos office?
Name what other person in the office Williams James Williams who we know about when we ever talk about the Broncos offense It's always the point. No, I'm saying wait. No, we ever talk about the Broncos office You don't have to talk about the Broncos offense. I'm saying this Sean McVay.
Excuse me. What is his name is? Sean Sean has done a good enough job with that offense and Bo nix as to where you ain't even got to worry about home team I'm just gonna make them good enough to make the playoffs. He's done it.
Okay, okay, it's his culture Cute as before we move on he just read off those teams that they beat again. Dude. All right, so we got last day Well, this is last week they beat the Falcons. They beat the rares playoff team.
Okay, they beat the rares they beat the Panthers. They beat the Saints They beat the Jets Only big team Let's get to some some good coaches and some good players that we know we thought about my friend but uh, is there uh disrespect this week? Yeah, I got one. All right Because he was speaking on the motherfucker, I might as well talk about it.
Talk about this team money I we heard from Docs since the sex and that was all he was all in the videos. The other shit the puffed daddy doing the Saints was beating the Cowboys and I heard I seen docking a month. So we got everybody's everybody and I had to bring this up because everybody want to talk to Kumbaya about quarterbacks. We got to keep it a full being kid because I told you I told you about the Falcons this season.
They have they had to do something that they're damn near and jeopardizing people though it's the easiest division to win. These motherfuckers. Her cousin says he got to Atlanta and after that first match up against the Bucks everybody was hyper coz I'm looking through the Falcons chats and all that stuff can I do my research they was hype they was like we finally got a quarter back we got rid of the other quarter back the Tyler Haniki whatever the name is. And we finally got one.
Well since then they lost their they've lost their last five games. They're averaging in those five games less than 20 points for a game. Their upcoming match ups are they're facing the Chargers hardball in the Chargers and they're also going to be going face the Minnesota Vikings her cousins old team. And cousins his stats are not impressive at all he's averaging about 240 yards a game and then they'll end up five the last five games he's only got eight touchdowns and four and such.
And in this last game against Denver can you probably did as much as he did. This was where you was at because they were shit ball and the thing is coming into the season everybody was hyper about not only cousins being one of the best quarterbacks and Falcons has since Matt Ryan but also what he can do with those weapons. Those weapons haven't looked like shit the same way they did last year. Like they're not unlocking these John they're not unlocking Drake London.
They're not unlocking to me the biggest one is Kyle Pitts because his contract is about to be up. And you got all that firepower going against Denver you would have thought that he would at least put up 14 points you can't even put a tuddy. I'm sorry the disrespect goes to Kirk cousins and him getting paid all that bread for no reason they need to start Michael Pennix before the season start. The last four games I'm expecting him to start because at this point can I just read the next two teams they face those are ails in my opinion.
They're going to be six and seven by the time they get I think the next game I can face the Raiders they should win that but but being six and seven can fuck around and be with lose joke was the bus can get back in his game and a rookie would change that. Okay. I trust this rookie you know we better on black this year kid. Yeah.
Ever since I was wearing a surfer that's when it was over. No. He was like no. He was like what's they called him Kurt Cobain's that's what he was.
That was it. Yeah that's the disrespect. Fuck Kirk cousins he ain't still going to win it. So Nick we'll jump to yeah these were bad losses.
I just completely let Denver do that to them but everybody said Denver defense was good. The Saints lost was horrible pathetic should have won that game but prior to that man you wait until he has two bad games to put him on the list. I said shit when he was destroying folks. I didn't we have time to fit in the docket we had other things we're going to do.
We're going to be ready. We're going to be ready. We're going to be ready. We're going to be ready.
We're going to be ready. Okay. Now who without we can talk about. So that's all I got to say about Kirk cousins.
All right. Moving on the Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers. We're going to move to more Ravens at home.
We're losing it too. We're losing it too. Yeah. Yeah.
That's what I'm going to do. The six team continuing Russell Wilson's hot streak is a starter. Is Lamar Jatson a clutch. Here's a couple of questions here.
Is Lamar Jatson a clutch player and are the Steelers this stat report. Lowy. Lamar Johnson is now one and four as a starter against the Steelers average in 19 points per game and throwing five touchdowns with eight interceptions in those matchups. Also Lamar is four and twelve.
You can buy this match ups in the playoffs. Plan the Chiefs and plan the Steelers. Man, I just want to I just want to say the record straight to like everybody in this chat right here to say that Tom wasn't going to get over 10 wins. You know what I'm saying?
No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. I had a lot of time talking against you. No, no, no, no.
I was talking on that shit. I was talking on that shit. I picked the Steelers. I got a lot of time to win this division.
No, no, no, no. You only want to pick the winner division. No, no, no, no. I got to review the game.
I got to review the game. I got to go. I'm leaving now. We got the only one that thought it would.
I didn't think they'd make playoffs. I just didn't think they'd win the division. So I thought they'd go. Good.
You know, we got to go. I just thought I was going to win the division. Everybody was talking about Mike Tom and can't do this. And are we sure.
Oh, well, Baltimore and Baltimore. Nick was the only one who picks Cincinnati and shit. I mean, I already told you. I already told you.
This is what Mike Tom will do every year just win. And I told you all from the very beginning that it makes a root off and duck hodges and Mitchell Trebische and Kenny Pickett can get this dude. Six, seven, eight wins. He's Russell.
It wasn't. When it's about can't get you 10 11 11 12 wins in the season. Like that's just, that just seems very simple math to me. So of course, of course I knew that this was going to win this game because they always get the more everyone in media that everyone always talks about this matchup as if you know what I'm saying, who do the who, which, who does it matter more for right now?
Is it Baltimore or is it Pittsburgh? It matters more for the Mar to beat this thing. The same way that it goes for Kansas City. It's not about if Kansas City lose to Baltimore, don't really say much because they can get right back and learn from it.
If Pittsburgh lose against Baltimore, they can get right back and learn from it. He has to climb this mountain though against Pittsburgh. And I think that it's very clear that all things whole true. This team can make a very deep play off run because Russ is managing the game well.
I think that they are still jelling because this is what his fourth or fifth game coming up of the season. So he's still behind a learning curve with his offense. Guys like Mike Williams got to get integrated into the team as a second wide receiver. But this is a Super Bowl level defense.
And I've been saying that from the off season. Guys like Keanu Benton, TJ Watt, Joy Porter Jr., Deshaun Elliott. Oh my goodness dude, Nick Herbig coming in. He's a Fitzpatrick playing deep safety.
You got what's his name? Alex Hysmith playing. Preston Smith getting traded for this team. Hey, what is it?
Hey, what is it? Hey, where he's playing like he's still 28 years old out there man and he's 36. So it's like this is a Super Bowl level defense. I think that this is a lot to say on Harbaugh as a coach against Tom and Morgan.
It is just Lamar as a QB. But Lamar does have to beat this team. And Harbaugh has to do better playing against Tom and he seems to always either get out coach or they have to get into a shootout with them. And that's just on the strength of Flacko and Lamar.
So I don't know the two point conversion was very questionable. But man, dude, Patrick Queen, Peyton Wilson, Dules are making plays. This is a very physical defense. And I don't think a lot of teams may want to see them if they got to go to Pittsburgh come January.
Man, I think I'll let you go because I'll say that. A couple of things I agree and disagree with you. I 100% agree. The two point conversion that play call was questionable.
Obviously I will go for two in the same position. But the play call 100% agree with you. Watching this game, this wasn't Lamar's fault. They left six points on the board with Miss Field goals.
And Nick, it was so interesting that you talked about the disrespect of kickers. The most accurate kicker in NFL history really, it wasn't just those two Miss Field goals. But if he would have made them, again, you have the most accurate kicker in the history of the NFL. You're winning this game, even with the Miss 2 point conversion 22 to 18.
Right. So when I watched this game, Lamar didn't have a great game. The Pittsburgh Steelers didn't have necessarily a great game. It was a defensive battle back and forth.
The Steelers, as long as Tomlin is there, he got one or two guys on defense. They're going to be on top defense. You know what I'm saying? As long as they got Mink, they got TJ.
Then boys, the rest of those guys are just going to do their job. And that's what he preaches. And yeah, they are good on the defensive end. I didn't pick on the window.
The conference, I definitely picked the Ravens. But does it surprise me? Nah. Sometimes in sports, certain teams, certain coaches, certain organizations just have your number.
And think about this, Lamar Jackson has almost like a 70% win percentage in the NFL as a starter. If those, if that's just the night, the Chiefs and the Steelers, it is what it is. But yo, like, you know what I'm saying? Like I'm okay with that.
But this, this, they had nothing to do with Lamar. It's not that Lamar played a bad game or wasn't clutch. It just, it had to go, we're not going to do that on this. To answer your question about that last play, that two point conversion play, I don't know if y'all saw it, but evidently with some kind of mix up, that was one of those receivers either Isaiah Lickler or Nelson Aguilar, they switched positions and was fighting each other with their hands on that last play.
Somebody was supposed to go out, break off. It was supposed to be a pass to that player who would have been wide open. But either one of them. But that's because Sheldon Mike Tomlin called timeout and then confused and saw what they were going to do schematically and then they got back in and were confused so they had to do their second option and they didn't know what to do.
So, again, it's another one of those things where people don't give him like Tomlin those, like, you know, they always rely on, you know, he's just a Rob Rock guy. That's like he's just being Campbell or something. And it's like he's that and he's accessing those also. So I hate when people do that to me.
What I was saying is people, we're not going to do that. Y'all not going to come in here and talk about certain quarterbacks and with them not getting the dub and we have to critique them not getting the dub. Exactly. I wasn't trying to say what everybody was talking about.
They were always saying I talk about systematic too much. I was going to say it. But all I'm going to say is this, you coming into this game, can they talk about we ain't never see this kind of little marble phone. They say this nigga, you're right.
You go, say you go, I'll get you go. He averaged in 30 some points. They just put up 30 plus against this and coming into this game. You would think Pittsburgh is like, right, Pittsburgh, they hope you don't score over 21 points.
You know what I'm saying? So it's like this should have been a train riding through Pittsburgh. Oh, not only did I say there can refundable. Not only am I not even question hard on more because he's supposed to be a special teams coordinator.
Yeah, Justin Tucker is missing all these field goals and all this stuff. And moments where you like, bro, like people sit, like I said, because I got Justin Tucker, my fantasy team. Like, what the fuck going on? You supposed to be the number one big?
I got to go to Dallas for a kick it now. So for me, it's just like Lamar, it's like, to me, it's like, okay, we know on certain teams, certain plays and all that other stuff, you're not going to be able to do everything you want to do. So how do you adjust? We see it with Patty when the pocket collapses and he got to escape and make a play.
We see it sometimes with Josh Allen. We see it with sometimes with other quarterbacks. And it's like when he's with Lamar, it's like when he's pressing. It doesn't come out like for a better play.
It's always something's going on. And he doesn't. And I know we talk about Derrick Henry has to be the one that drives his offense. I saw a stat that says they get Derrick Henry at least 20 carries so far this season.
They're four and oh, and it's like, okay, that's fine. But we just need, we just need points on the board. We supposed to have a two time MVP, supposed to be three time MVP. We have people talking and it's like you can't score over 16 points.
Fuck Justin Tucker. Fuck Justin Tucker. We asked you to score more than 16 points, bro. Because these niggas and only they don't want you to score over 21.
We seen flacko carve up this defense. That's that defense I'm talking about. I don't trust that secondary. That front seven, I'm with y'all.
That's the football. No point in nobody else close to it. I ain't go fuck about Joey Porter Jr. You know what I'm saying?
I didn't even know what I'm saying. And Mika, Mika. I see. I see.
I see. I see. Don't you think of his badger rule? I see that press got cut up that damn secondary loop at the gang where he was giving them.
That's not what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying.
That's not what I'm saying. That's not what I'm saying. Dude, we not. That was on the field because Justin feels good.
I don't feel like. Of course there's a lot of. I don't have to really look at Lamar. Not to say I say he trash and all that.
But these the game games, like how many games have you looked at? Like what game sticks out to you like when Lamar was clutched as fuck and he came through. I mean, he came through. They won the season.
They won the season. Lamar clutch up. Lamar clutch up against Kansas City. He's just the dude's foot was out.
Like it was like Kevin. It was a Kevin Durant toenal. You know, that's what's another game. I'll give you that.
What's another game? I mean, there's a whole bunch in the regular season. We don't do we really care about regular season games? If we're talking about.
I was I was talking about regular season games. You can call the playoffs on this. I mean, I'm like, what games have we really seen him be like, I can't name more than two or three. I don't think that's a two time MVP.
Yeah, but I don't think that there's really any game where I can put it all on Lamar Jackson, that where he wasn't able to be clutch. I think football is way too much of a team sport. You have to be like Daniel Jones bad for me to be like, I mean, that's on him. He's he's not he's not playing right.
You know what I'm saying? Or it has to be trade lance levels of ineptitude. You know, that big game. Like he forgot.
I was about to say Nick. Try that. He forgot about his name. And that was one where he was going to do what he fumbled.
They're going to be one. The game, the game, but there can be one. Yes, that's the same game. Same game with the commanders, same game with the Ravens and also, yeah, the bingles.
Right. The three-class game just here. There's something to be said about this, Nick, because I remember a few folks last week was saying that it feels different. I don't think it feels much different because I don't think John Harbaugh is where his river is different from his orthodoxy.
This seems very, this is another Harbaugh season, you know what I'm saying, where they're going to have miraculous moments where his athleticism shines through. But it's just something about this scheme, dude. It's something about how the team runs inconsistency with not running. And there's something weird in the organization, dude.
So I don't know if I can ever say that a game is all on Lamar because there's just too many, like let's go back to the Chiefs game in the playoffs. Zayflowers, he gave that game away at the goal line. You know what I mean? He fumbled right there when they had a chance to get back into it.
So it's like you're robbing Lamar, the ability to even try to be clutching in because you don't have the personnel that know how to keep their head. And then you have John Harbaugh doing dumb shit and not running the ball at all against the Chiefs and trying to make Lamar throw for 30 times against how your home is to prove some type of like, you know, rivalry. It's a long game, but it's four quarters. We could pick out plays here and there, but I'm just saying like throughout a week, I've seen Lamar dominate full games, right?
Like that 49ers game last year, dominant. The bills game this year, it was like dominant and of course the defense helps, but it's like this year it ain't really helping. And it's like, this is the reason why I'm picking this guy because between Kansas City and this team, these are teams you got to beat bro. Fuck everybody else.
We're not judging Lamar based off of regular season games no more. Like FIFO said, he wins 70 of them. So that should be a gimmy. We criticized them when he loses the Raiders.
But when we're talking about the team that you really got to beat and it's always something off. It's never you really coming through. And it's like, I'm just wondering when are we going to see that from Lamar because I can't keep picking him in the playoffs with what he played like this. You could point to a few different things though.
Like I said, in this game, I don't really, I don't put a lot on him for this game because I look at him scrambling to keep the ball alive and hitting say files in the chest. Like the ball bouncing off his hands crazy plays like that. The interception that was taken away from the receiver. Things like that.
He can't control that kind of stuff. Also, Derrick Henry, rest of all, 13 times for 60 yards. Already that was on one plate, not giving the ball to Derrick Henry to take something fresh off of him, which everybody needs. If you got back like Derrick Henry, the lead rushing the lead, you give him the ball.
You do. You let him run. But Sheldon, if I told you this going into this game, if I said the Ravens are going to have two to three turnovers, yet the Steelers aren't going to score over 18 points. Do you think they win that game?
If I was better, do you still think the Ravens are going to win that game? What would you say? I would think they still would, but I'm not surprised based off. You're not surprised because what you've seen has always happened.
