The updated ordinance formalizes the city’s automated garbage system. Each dwelling is provided one 90-gallon refuse container with a lid, and the ordinance specifies that containers provided to residents are owned by the city. New residents, including those moving into newly built homes, will pay a 5 start-up fee for garbage collection and the initial container.
