Op 5 mei vieren we de vrijheid, op 4 mei herdachten we slachtoffers van de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Zo ook op het Sovjet Ereveld in Leusden. Daar liggen 865 voormalige Sovjet-soldaten begraven. Soldaten die óók Europa bevrijdden van Nazi-Duitsland, maar voor een deel afkomstig zijn uit Rusland, het land dat nu wordt gezien als Europa's grootste bedreiging.  Kunnen we na de Russische invasie in Oekraïne deze Sovjet-soldaten nog steeds eren en herdenken?
