William Clouston - Leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP)

On today episode we spoke to William Clouston the leader of the Social Democratic Party or SDP.The SDP that William leads came to being in 1990 and traces its origins back to the Social Democratic Party formed in 1981 by a group of Labour MPs - Roy Jenkins, David Owen, Bill Rodgers and Shirley Williams. A decade after its arrival the SDP merged with the The Liberal Party, becoming the Liberal Democrats.
