Williams Shines, Guardians Edge Twins | Cleveland Guardians News

Gavin Williams dominated on the mound for the Guardians, tossing seven strong innings with 11 strikeouts and just two runs allowed, tying his season high and tying for the AL lead with 10 wins. The offense delivered with three home runs from Arias, DeLauter, and Bailey, powering a 5-2 win over the Twins and staving off a sweep. Williams silenced the Twins early, retiring the first 13 batters, then battled back after they tied it in the third. Twins starter Bailey Ober made a strong return from the IL, but the Guardians’ bats broke through the bullpen, capped by Cade Smith’s 27th save. The win ends Minnesota’s four-game win streak, while the Guardians head to Miami and the Twins host the Angels. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
