Williams Shines, Guardians Fall | Cleveland Guardians News

Gavin Williams dazzled with an 11-strikeout gem and an immaculate inning, the fifth in franchise history, but the Cleveland Guardians’ offense went cold, scoring just one run in 12 innings. The Twins tied it in the 8th and pulled ahead with two more in the 12th, thanks to Erik Sabrowski’s costly mistake in extra innings. Williams’ brilliance was backed by stellar defense, including a highlight-reel catch by Steven Kwan, lauded by manager Stephen Vogt as the best left fielder on the planet. Twins starter Taj Bradley matched Williams’ early dominance, and the Guardians’ lone run came on Patrick Bailey’s fifth home run of the season. Another heartbreaker for Cleveland, now headed to Tampa Bay to face Shane McClanahan and Joey Cantillo. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
