Willing To Be A Slave - Friday Eve

Christ’s humility is constantly shown this week. We see Him on the cross, the highest level of humility and the day before, we see Christ’s humility in washing His disciples’ feet, a role that is normally done by servants or gentile slaves. Humility is the key. Fr David then takes us through Christ’s encounter with the guards in the garden - where they fall when they hear Christ say “I Am”. He was willing to still be arrested and crucified instead of using His power. Christ is willing to be a slave for us. He has the power to change all things, but He chose to die for us.
