The season of Lent - the Church's time of preparation for Resurrection Day - has often been described as a desert...a time of solitude, longing, self-examination and loneliness. The Lord meets with us in special ways in life's lonely times though, which makes them, though hard, good. Our Lenten series for 2026 takes a look at the desert life of Israel following their release from Egypt and the ways the Lord met and worked with them.
