After hearing from Wilson County Fire Marshall Carl Fowner April 27 regarding the recent rain and current conditions, county commissioners confirmed the April 26 expiration of the ban, allowing residents to proceed with burning. The Fire Marshal’s Office reminds residents: •No burning while it is dark •Wind speeds must be less than 23 miles per hour •No burning within 300 feet of any structure •Have some type of control method available •Stay with the fire at all times.
