Win the War on Choice | How Developing Critical Thinking Enables You to Protect Your Personal Agency

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

Win the War on Choice | How Developing Critical Thinking Enables You to Protect Your Personal Agency You don't need to look very far to find examples of people, institutions, and government bodies in society that take issue with personal agency. One of the greatest examples of democracy, the United States of America, has chosen a government that intends on stripping people of choices that we long believed to be fundamental human rights. What enabled this advancement? A lack of critical thinking. Which is a skill, a tool that our education systems across North America do very little in developing. There are serious implications when we find ourselves making decisions that serve governments, institutions, public or private, who's mandate is specifically to limit your range of decision-making, The current political climate presents a cautionary tale. It could happy at any level, and to anyone of us. So - if you're starting to think about what New Year's resolutions are worth your time... focus on expanding your ability to think critically on the issues that concern you and your loved ones the most.
