Wind Advisory: 50 MPH Gusts Possible In Yavapai Mountains

Send us a text and chime in!The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Wind Advisory for much of northern Arizona from 11 a.m. Sunday until 8 p.m. MST. Forecasters say southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph are expected across the region, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph at times. The advisory covers a large portion of northern Arizona, including Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, Show Low, Winslow, Holbrook, Snowflake, Springerville, the Mogollon Rim, Grand Canyon Country, White Mountains, Black Mesa, and surrounding areas. Strong winds could make travel difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles such as RVs, campers and semi-trucks.
