Wind and Solar Power: Unreliable and Expensive (Guest: Norman Rogers)

from Environment and Climate News Podcast · host The Heartland Institute

PR firms are collaborating with liberal foundations and green energy profiteers to push ever greater amounts of wind and solar power use in the states. They are using "astroturf" organizations, front group's pretending to be conservative organizations to lobby county boards and state legislators to approve more wind and solar power. As more wind and solar power are added to the electric power grid, it is becoming more expensive, because wind and solar are much more expensive and less reliable than conventional power. These efforts will do nothing to prevent climate change, but they do line the pockets of politically connected green and solar power executives and the PR firms hired to promote them.
