Haines-Ainsworth & Terence Alaric Levitt published by Winking Kat Books Winking Kat presents a new, musical adaptation of the familiar tale of "Cinderella". We've chosen Charles Perrault's sweet, romantic version of the story written in the late 1600's. It is set in France and has new songs and fun characters (and a little less gore than the Grimm Brothers' version of the story). Seven fresh new songs make this version something fun and special. Be sure to listen to the beginning chapter of this episode. We have a brief history of this very old tale of a kind, young woman who overcomes hardship and her shyness to pursue her dream of attending a royal ball. She finally stands up for herself and what she wants, and wins the heart of the prince in the process. Book and Lyrics by P. Haines-Ainsworth. Music by Terence Alaric Levitt. Narrated by P. Haines-Ainsworth with vocals by Morgan Dietkus, Nick Edmondson, Mary Hould, Jenna Jordan, Katie Moya, Kyla Roberts, and Samantha Victor.
