Winning our race

Today I was thinking on the fact that in the human race, we have our own individual races to run, that no one else can win for us. We may falter, fail and lose our faith for a while but call upon the Lord, pick yourself up and keep going. The Lord will help you and ease your burdens. "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize...do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air..." (1 Corinthians 9:24-26). How we run our race in life is our responsibility and only we can win our race. The Lord wants to be with us all the way to victory and understands when we falter. It is the end result that counts.
