Winning start for Laois hurlers, a Podcast debut and Willie Maher

Our first podcast dedicated to hurling is here following a winning start to the Willie Maher era on Sunday.  Laois overcame a resilient Wexford side in Mountrath – their first time playing a competitive fixture at the venue since 1982. The game drew a bumper crowd to the club venue and there was a wonderful atmosphere as Laois recorded a rare win over one of the big guns, albeit in the pre-season competition. Alan Hartnett is joined by our reporter Barry McEvoy who was at the game on Sunday.  The two look back on the performance, speak about the new players and look ahead to Kilkenny.  We also hear from Laois manager Willie Maher who spoke with Barry after the game. There have also been a number of developments on the club scene with managers appointed and the lads discuss them.
