Winning the Bid (Charlie Battle)

Joining us for episode 6 of the Building Leaders Radio hour is Charlie Battle.  A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Charlie has served for many years as a Public Finance Lawyer in Atlanta, GA, and was instrumental in Atlanta hosting the 1996 Olympic games. Charlie was a public finance lawyer before playing a key role in Atlanta's successful bid to host the 1996 Olympic Games. Charlie served as Managing Director for International Relations of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games and was awarded the Olympic Order by the International Olympic Committee for outstanding contributions to the Olympic movement. Following the Atlanta Olympic Games, he served as President of Central Atlanta Progress. Charlie has served as an international advisor consulting with several cities bidding to host the Olympic Games including Beijing, Vancouver, New York, Sochi, Chicago, PyeongChang and Istanbul.
