Both species are born deaf, gaining hearing within the first few weeks.Why Spay/Neuter? Healthier pets, reduced aggression, longer lifespans, and fewer homeless animals.Adoption reminder: Avoid online pet scams—visit the Greene County Animal Shelter to meet adoptable pets like Chunk and others. “Rescued is the best breed there is!”Holiday Pet Safety: Safe treats include eggs, turkey, salmon, and pumpkin. Avoid chocolate, grapes, garlic, coffee, and sugar-free foods.
