Winter Backcountry Study Aims To Discover Amount & Type Of Use

from KBUT · host KBUT

A baseline study is being undertaken to learn about use in the Slate River and Washington Gulch corridors just outside of Crested Butte. The goal of the study is to give land managers and future researchers baseline data that will allow them to see trends in the amount and type of use in these areas. The information will be held at Western State, and the study is made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation For The Gunnison Valley.
