WIPp 005 Amy Ng: Pharmacist, UX Designer

from Work In Progress Podcast · host Dana & Angela

Amy quit her pharmacist career when she realized she was hitting a development ceiling and she embarked on a journey to find out what she could do next. She joined a coding bootcamp and became an UX designer one year later. In this episode Amy shared with us how she realized her career needed a change, how she figured out if tech was for her, and how she networked post bootcamp. One thing Amy pointed out that we absolutely agreed with is that, there are many transferrable skills you take with you from the previous job to the next, even if it's going into a completely different industry and role. Currently Amy's role as a UX designer allows her to use the newly acquired coding knowledge to solve healthcare problems that she has always been passionate about. Where to find Amy:LinkedIn AmyNgMedium @aalynngMedium article article "Parting Words For The Next Graduating Design Bootcamp Class"Music was used with permission.
