Send us Fan MailWirra Wirra in the McLaren Vale – it’s an Australian icon. It’s as old as the Australian wine industry, dating back to the late 1800’s when the energetic Robert Wigley left the city life and focussed his energy on wine. Over 100 years later, Wirra Wirra has cemented its place in Australian history and culture. Everyone knows and loves Church Block. Many people have shared with me the exhilaration they felt when they visited Wirra Wirra and saw the trebuchet hurl a watermelon 100 metres before the melon exploded in the far off paddock. The Wirra Wirra experience extends beyond wine. Yet at its heart Wirra Wirra remains a winery with over 100 years of history with the mission of crafting breathtaking wines for people like you and me to enjoy. Don’t they do it well. Luke Tyler, the Marketing manager at Wirra Wirra recently joined me to share his insights from the time he has spent at Wirra Wirra. A massive thanks to Luke to joining me. Support the show
