Wisconsin Coaches Ignite Rivalry Fire

Wisconsin’s new coaches are igniting the rivalry early—offensive line coach Eric Mateos cheekily called Minnesota “OLine U” and challenged Gophers fans to “steal” top recruits, sparking fireback from Minnesota supporters. Mateos called them “sensitive,” while former Gophers RB coach Jayden Everett doubled down with a blunt “FACTS,” turning the heat up even more. With Wisconsin losing two straight to Minnesota, this bold, playful energy signals the Badgers’ coaching staff is ready to fight for pride—and possibly reclaim the bragging rights when the teams clash again.
