Wisconsin Football’s Coaching Overhaul | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Wisconsin’s football program is undergoing a major coaching overhaul, bringing in five new position coaches to shake up the roster ahead of the season — a bold move after past struggles with hires. Defensive line coach E.J. Whitlow is already making headlines, transforming the run defense into one of the nation’s best and landing top recruits for 2027. On offense, Eric Mateos is energizing the line room and securing five verbal commitments for the same class. Other newcomers like Robert Steeples, Matt Mitchell, and Nate Letton are also building momentum — Mitchell’s linebackers improved, and Letton turned an FCS transfer into the team’s top receiver. But the biggest question remains at quarterback, where Kenny Guiton must revive a struggling unit with transfer Colton Joseph — their chemistry could make or break the season.
