Wisconsin Lands Firebrand Safety

James Roberson, a three-star safety from Allen, Texas, just committed to Wisconsin — despite his modest size, he’s got elite speed, instincts, and relentless effort that made him a target for 35 offers including Miami, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. His commitment is part of a whirlwind nine-day recruiting surge that’s brought Wisconsin’s 2027 class to 22 players, ranking them top 25 nationally. The Badgers are building a stacked defensive backfield with Roberson joining safeties Dustin Roach and DJ Davis, plus corners Mekhi Williams and Royalton Allen — a clear blueprint for a future powerhouse secondary.
