Wisconsin Lands Top Cornerback

Wisconsin just added a breakout cornerback in Royalton Allen, a three-star recruit from California who committed Tuesday — the 16th player in their 2027 class. After pulling offers from Georgia, USC, and Ole Miss, Allen picked Wisconsin over California, Auburn, and BYU, bringing his physical, high-energy style to a defense hungry for that intensity. With sticky coverage, elite ball skills, and a knack for disrupting plays at the line, Allen fits perfectly under new cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples. Standing at 6-foot, he plays with massive presence and versatility — already the Badgers’ first cornerback commitment for 2027, joining safeties Dustin Roach and DJ Davis in building a formidable secondary for the future.
