Wisconsin Player with Heart: Cecelia Tavs

Cecelia Tavs was chosen as a Beck's Player with Heart for her commitment and passion on and off the course, court, and track. In school, Cecelia is involved in FFA, Skills USA, Student Council, HOSA, and band. She plays basketball and participates in cross country and track and field. Athletics has allowed her to connect and grow with her peers. As the president of HOSA, she loves being able to develop leadership skills and qualities. Qualities like compassion and enthusiasm have created a wonderful environment for her teammates and a culture of feeling valued. Cecelia is very active in her community, volunteering at elementary schools, community centers, and at a garden that donates to local food pantries. Cecelia gained respect and love for agriculture through FFA. It has become an important pillar in her life, helping her develop skills in public speaking and grow her self-confidence.
