Wisconsin Player with Heart: Toby Shafer

from Brownfield Ag News

As a Beck’s Player with Heart, Toby Shafer shows his dedication and passion both on and off the field. He is involved in football, basketball, baseball, and trap shooting, while also serving as Sentinel in his FFA chapter and as a member of the National Honor Society. Toby is also active in his community through 4-H, where he has spent the past nine years showing beef cattle. In addition, he is involved in his church and enjoys giving back to the community that has supported him. Through athletics and school activities, he has built lasting friendships and connections, while learning valuable lessons from the coaches who have served as mentors and role models throughout his high school career. With agriculture, Toby feels that it is more than just producing food and materials - it is a way of life. Growing up on his family’s beef and crop farm, he has developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the hard work that goes into it. His experiences on the farm have inspired him to pursue a future in the ag industry and work toward improving opportunities for small family farms. After graduation, Toby plans to attend Iowa State University to study agricultural engineering. His goal is to one day own and operate his own beef feeding operation. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
