Wisconsin vs Western Illinois Underdog Watch | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Wisconsin takes on underdog Western Illinois this Saturday, a stark contrast to their recent Notre Dame showdown. The Leathernecks, winless since 2017, bring grit and hidden talent — especially QBs Kennedy McGill and Carson Carswell, both captains jockeying for reps. Look for speedy receiver Christian Anaya to stretch the field, while linebacker Nick Reinicke (ex-Iowa State) dominates the trenches with sacks and turnovers. Secondary standout Jake Kruger adds pressure with his two interceptions. Wisconsin’s defense must stay disciplined — last week’s costly turnovers could cost them again if they don’t lock down Anaya and force clean plays.
