Wisconsin’s Coaching Crossroads | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Wisconsin’s football program is at a crossroads after spending over $20 million this season hoping to revive its fortunes under head coach Luke Fickell. Despite a promising start against Notre Dame, the team unraveled in the second half, exposing familiar struggles that could seal Fickell’s fate. With Wisconsin facing another potential losing season — and becoming the first coach in 30 years to suffer back-to-back losing campaigns — whispers of a coaching change are growing louder. Top on the list? Jake Dickert, Wake Forest’s head coach and a Wisconsin native with a proven track record of turning around programs, including a stellar nine-win debut at Wake Forest. Known for his defensive acumen and ability to stabilize struggling teams, Dickert represents a compelling next step for Madison as they look toward rebuilding their future.
