Wisdom Alone Cannot Sustain Us

King Solomon's request for wisdom was reasonable, but he lacked the heart to obey. In Proverbs, he gave wise instructions to all but failed to follow them himself. He outlined his downfall with his hand. Wisdom alone cannot sustain us; we need a heart willing to obey. We can act by asking God for wisdom and a heart to follow His guidance. Pray for a heart that loves and obeys God. Ask for your heart to seek His will in all things and remain devoted to Him alone. May we refrain from resting on our past achievements or going forward to pursue empty things. Let's continually grow in our love and devotion to God. We should ask for wisdom, but we should also pay attention to the importance of a heart that is ready to obey. Ask Him today. It's time to pray.
