Wisdom of the Ages

Send us Fan MailSome months ago, I shared with you the wonderful experience I had when I was asked by a parent from the school where I served as principal to meet with some young women. She asked me to talk about life as a woman, mom, wife, career person, using my stories and experiences to encourage them in their stage of life. It was a wonderful evening of sharing. However, one of my favorite things about the event was seeing the invitation each of the women received. It was entitled, "The Elder Listening Session." I was the ELDER! I LOVED it. But it also made me realize the responsibility I had at this age to pass on what I've learned from others in the same way throughout my life.I wouldn't have the trove of stories and insights to share without having the sage elders guiding me as I grew through adulthood. If you are younger, who are the elders in your world? If you are older, who are the young people in your world? We need each other!!Thanks for listening!
