After a few starter positions in corporate America, she found her calling at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. Working in a marketing capacity, Corinne was able to provide information and access to resources for cancer patients, and it was her first step in accomplishing her career goals. While at Karmanos she was introduced to the transformative new breast cancer screening device called SoftVue. It was developed by researchers at Karmanos and offered improved cancer detection for an often-forgotten population, women with dense breasts. Once the technology received its first 510k FDA approval, she followed the researchers to their commercial company, Delphinus Medical Technologies, to help with additional clinical research and the eventual commercialization of SoftVue.
