Wisdom’s Road: Avoiding Fools and Walking in Understanding (Proverbs 14) (Ep. 179)

In this Sunday Bible study from Eagle Pass, I continued our multi-week series on wisdom in Proverbs, focusing on how to identify, avoid, and respond to fools from a biblical perspective. We walked through key passages—Proverbs 14:7, Proverbs 9:6, Psalm 14:1, Psalm 53:1, Psalm 74, Proverbs 10:23, Proverbs 1:7, 1:22, 12:15, 14:6, 14:8, 15:2, 20:3, 10:18, Ecclesiastes 7:9, Luke 12:16–21—and explored traits like denying God’s existence, blasphemy, making light of sin, loving mischief, despising wisdom and instruction, self-deception, trusting one’s own heart, meddling, slander, and unrighteous anger. I emphasized the call to guard our hearts with Scripture rather than emotions, resist the influence of foolish voices, and prioritize the Lord’s Day and the gathering of the saints.
