On this mother’s day, Brother Hughes goes to the book of proverbs. In our text, Solomon describes the incredible power that women have. This power can build or tear down. Building implies many things: Dreaming, planning, work, and time. Building is intentional, and it does not happen without a purpose. When building, you start with a solid foundation. The wise woman builds her house on the word of God. Building also involves erecting walls. Walls are boundaries that define a space. The wise woman determines what she wants in her house. Solomon’s words are clear that women hold great power. They can use that power to build or tear down. The wise woman will use it to build.
